About the Artist.

A visual storyteller.

Dakotah is a Los Angeles based photographer, creative director, and visual storyteller. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, she moved to LA in 2021 to expand her creative career. She earned her degree from the University of Minnesota, where she studied fine art, photography, and journalism.

Her work is shaped by a love of observation, photojournalism, fine art, philosophy, and human connection. Since graduating, Dakotah has backpacked through more than 30 countries. Her diverse experiences documenting the world and building connections with people and artists continue to inform and inspire her creative direction.
